The Chairman of Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has sympathized with the Chairman of Fresh FM radio station, Dr Yinka Ayefele, and the entire management of the station over the fire incident that engulfed the multimillion-naira Music House on Friday evening.

Hon. Ige who paid on the spot assessment to the scene of the incident on Saturday afternoon to ascertain the level of damage done by the inferno, described the development as devastating and pathetic.

Ige recalled that when a similar incident happened in 2018 when the former Governor Abiola Ajimobi led administration partially demolished the building, it turned out to be a blessing for Dr. Yinka Ayefele because his radio station has been waxing stronger since then.

While spoken with the Head of Station, Alhaji Abolade Salami during the visit, Hon. Ige enjoined Dr. Yinka Ayefele to have absolute faith in God that this recent incident will also lead to multiple blessings for him and his establishment.

According to Ige, “Fresh FM radio station which is already putting every arrangement in place to celebrate its 10th anniversary in the media industry, has over the years contributed immensely to the information dissemination, entertainment and educating the public on many topical issues.

The station is no doubt one of the best in the media industry that we have in this part of the world and that is why we join others in praying to God to console its chairman, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, provides him necessary support for the quick restoration of the station’s equipment that was lost to the inferno.

“We will continue to stand with Dr Ayefele and his establishment as a friend and partner in the industry.” Hon. Ige assured.
