The
Ambassador Arapaja alongside members of his entourage were received by Ms. Tara Adefope, Director General of the Oyo State Due Process Office of the Governor who is the daughter of the late Ambassador, and other family members.
During the visit, Ambassador Arapaja who already met the wife of the Governor, Engr. Mrs Tamunominini Makinde at the residence of the Adefopes, described the deceased as a priceless gift to Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
He said further that the deceased’s remarkable contributions to diplomacy, good governance, and community development cannot be over emphasized.
“We have come today not only to mourn but to celebrate the legacy of a great daughter of Ibadanland and the impact she had made while alive.”
Our late Mama was a woman of intellect, grace, and national service. Though her death pained us we have to take solace in the fact that she lived a fulfilled life and left behind legacies of humility, hardwork and good name that is devoid of any blemish.
Ambassador Arapaja and his entourage thereafter offered prayers for the repose of her soul and for strength and comfort for the bereaved family during this difficult period.
While expressing appreciation on behalf of the family, Ms Tara Adefope thanked Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and his entourage for the visit and solidarity at a time her family was in deep mourning.
Arapaja was accompanied by the Chairman Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, Oyo South PDP senatorial youth leader, Taofeek Oladejo and Alhaji Hammed Morufu Yoboro.
