The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday ratified Hon. Ayobamitale Ibrahim, popularly known as “Holly,” as its consensus candidate for the Oluyole State Constituency in the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election.
The affirmation took place during a meeting of PDP consensus primaries at the Alade Event Centre in Sanyo, Ibadan.
The event was well-attended by prominent party leaders from both national and state levels.
Ibrahim, a Banking and Finance graduate, currently serves as the Personal Assistant to the PDP Interim National Secretary, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja. His political journey includes a 2019 run for the same seat under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), where he was denied the ticket.
In his acceptance speech, Ibrahim expressed deep gratitude to the party’s leadership, specifically acknowledging Ambassador Arapaja for the opportunity to fly the PDP flag in 2027.
He pledged to uphold the confidence reposed in him by the party hierarchy and promised to deliver quality, impactful representation to the people of Oluyole if elected.
