
Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, a prominent Oyo South senatorial hopeful for the 2027 general elections, has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Sunday Babatunde Anthony on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
In a personal statement released to journalists, Hon. Ige, the current Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board, popularly known as “Ige Again” lauded the celebrant for reaching the milestone of a golden jubilee.
Describing Hon. Anthony as a “personal person,” Ige highlighted the celebrant’s rare leadership qualities. He characterized the 50-year-old as humane and accessible to all, deeply humble despite his political achievements and a “down-to-earth” individual who maintains a strong connection with his community.
Hon. Anthony, a former Secretary of the Ibadan South East Local Government and a current chairmanship aspirant for the same council, was further described as a “complete gentleman.”
Hon. Ige emphasized Anthony’s unwavering dedication to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), noting that the celebrant has consistently committed his resources and talents toward the party’s ideals and progress.
“He is a man who gives everything God has given him back to the service of the people,” Ige stated.
Ige concluded with prayers for the celebrant’s continued health, wisdom, and success in his future political endeavours as he enters his second half-century.
