Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye Wasiu, the lawmaker representing the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, has been conferred with a prestigious Award of Excellence for Community Development.
The recognition was presented during the 9th Igbo Elerin Day Celebration, held at the Igbo Elerin Grammar School football pitch.
Organized by the Council of Igbo Elerin Baales in the Lagelu Local Government Area, the award serves as a testament to the lawmaker’s “tremendous contributions” to the Igbo Elerin community and society at large.
Hon. Akinmoyede, popularly known by his supporters as “Lafi,” was represented at the colorful ceremony by his Legislative Aide, Dr. Isiaq Akintunde, and Hon. Adewale Adedeji, who received the plaque on his behalf.
In a statement released through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Oyedapo Oyewole, Hon. Akinmoyede expressed deep gratitude to the organizers for recognizing his legislative efforts and developmental strides.
He formally dedicated the award to his constituents, citing their unwavering support and cooperation as the primary drivers of his success in office.
