The Chairmanship hopeful of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Sunday Babatunde, has reaffirmed his unwavering support for Governor Seyi Makinde, commending his bold and strategic move to safeguard Nigeria’s democracy from forces allegedly bent on undermining opposition parties.
Hon. Babatunde described Governor Makinde’s action as a courageous and defining moment in the defense of democratic values, noting that such steadfastness remains unmatched and exemplary in contemporary politics.

In a statement released through his Director of Strategic Media and Publicity, Kehinde Gbadeyanka, the chairmanship hopeful also unveiled his comprehensive rebuilding agenda for Ibadan South East Local Government—an initiative aligned with Governor Makinde’s developmental blueprint for Oyo State.
According to him, his vision is centered on people-focused development at the grassroots, with key priorities including support for small businesses, vocational and skills acquisition programs, sports development, quality education, and accessible healthcare for both the young and the elderly.

Hon. Babatunde emphasized that rebuilding the people is the foundation for sustainable development, noting that empowering citizens will enhance productivity, professionalism, and overall community growth.
He further stressed that restoring hope among residents remains central to his mission, adding that targeted orientation and empowerment programs will reinvigorate those who have lost faith in the system.

While calling on party faithful across Oyo State to remain resolute, dedicated, and loyal, he urged continued support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, assuring that the Governor’s actions are geared toward the emancipation of democracy and the collective prosperity of the people.
