The lawmaker representing Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede Wasiu (Lafi), has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Christian faithful as they celebrate Good Friday and Easter festival.
In a statement made available to journalists through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Oyedapo Oyewole, Hon. Lafi expressed deep gratitude to his constituents for their unwavering support and prayers since his assumption of office in 2023.
His tenure has been defined by unprecedented strides, delivering the dividends of democracy through robust empowerment programmes for youths, women, artisans, and farmers, alongside facilitating key federal infrastructure.
As Christians commemorate the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary, the lawmaker urged them to internalize the virtues of love, unity, and compassion in their daily interactions.
“Easter reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice for humanity’s redemption,” Hon. Lafi stated.
“I encourage us all to imbibe these Christ-like qualities to foster a more harmonious society.”
Lafi who urged Nigerians to maintain faith in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, noted that the President is working tirelessly to navigate the country’s myriad of challenges and bring lasting succour to all citizens.
