The Chairman House Committee on Nigeria/Mexico Parliamentary Friendship in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye Wasiu has felicitated with the Christians faithful in the Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency, Oyo on this year’s Easter celebrations, called for unity, tolerance and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.
In the Easter message issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Oyedapo Oyewole and made available to journalists, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye Wasiu described the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ as a key foundation of the Christian faith, and a seal of hope for believers.
“This solemn commemoration of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ should remind us of the state of the nation in our country.
The insecurity, socio-economic challenges are indeed daunting but we should not throw our hands up in despair. We should continue to give necessary support to the nation’s leadership and collectively seek the face of God over these protracted challenges. I wish you blissful Easter celebrations.”
Akinmoyede who extended his congratulatory message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, all the three senators, his colleagues in the House of Representatives, State Assembly lawmakers, local government chairmen as well as the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin and other traditional rulers in Ibadan, solicited his constituents continued support so as to bring more dividends of democracy to their doorsteps.
