
The lawmaker representing Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye Wasiu, has extended his warmest greetings to the Muslim Ummah in his constituency and across Oyo State as they celebrate the 2026 Eid-el-Adha.
In his festive message, Hon. Akinmoyede urged Muslims to celebrate with modesty and reflect deeply on the core lessons of the season, which embody piety, obedience, sacrifice, and charity.

The lawmaker popularly known as ‘Lafi’ emphasized the importance of extending a hand of fellowship to the less privileged during the celebrations.
Disturbed by recent security challenges, the federal lawmaker strongly enjoined the Muslim faithful to seize the sacred period to pray for absolute calm, peace, and a definitive end to all forms of violence and insecurity currently being witnessed in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

Hon. Akinmoyede also used the occasion to express his profound gratitude to the people of Akinyele/Lagelu for their unwavering cooperation and partnership over the last three years.
He specifically thanked constituents and party faithful for their overwhelming support in nominating him as the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard-bearer for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Reaffirming his commitment to qualitative representation, the lawmaker assured them that their trust would yield even greater developmental strides for the constituency.
