Oluyole First Condemns Alleged Plot to Destabilize Oyo State; Cautions The Perpetrators, says current developments vindicate the earlier stance of one of the PDP leaders in the state, who once described the monarch’s personality as difficult and self-serving.

The socio-political pressure group, Oluyole First, has expressed grave concern regarding the recent allegations leveled by the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin.

The Speaker recently alleged that a certain first class monarch alongside the former First Lady, Amb. Florence Ajimobi, approached him with offers of money and a House of Representatives ticket to facilitate the impeachment of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Oluyole First strongly condemns the alleged involvement of the monarch in this political saga.

As a paramount ruler and royal father, the monarch is expected to remain neutral, non-partisan, and a father-figure to all political tendencies.

The group notes with disappointment that while other respected monarchs—such as the Soun of Ogbomoso, Okere of Saki, Alaafin of Oyo, Olugbon of Orile Igbon, and the Iba of Kishi—have maintained their dignity by staying out of partisan fray, the said monarch appears bent on controlling the machinery of government.

The group observes that these current developments vindicate the earlier stance of one of the PDP leaders in the state, who once described the monarch’s personality as difficult and self-serving.
“What is happening now clearly proves the leader right. We wonder why the monarch is so intent on destabilizing the state for personal interests,” the group stated.

With the 2027 general elections approaching, Oluyole First calls on the public to hold the monarch and Mrs. Florence Ajimobi accountable for any political unrest that may arise from these clandestine moves.

While pledging unalloyed loyalty to the administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde, the group urged the citizens of Oyo State to remain vigilant. We must not allow “enemies of progress” to reverse the developmental strides currently being enjoyed in the Pacesetter State.
Oyo State belongs to all, and its stability must not be sacrificed on the altar of individual ambition.
