Ibadan South East Local Government Chairman hopeful, Hon. Sunday Babatunde has extended warm felicitations to Christians across Nigeria on the occasion of the Easter celebration.
In a press statement issued through his Director of Strategic Media and Publicity, Kehinde Gbadeyanka, Hon. Babatunde described Easter as a sacred season of rebirth, renewed hope, steadfastness, and unwavering faith.

He noted that beyond celebration, the period calls for deep reflection on the teachings, sacrifice, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, urging Christians to embody His virtues by overcoming trials, resisting temptation, and upholding righteousness.
Hon. Babatunde admonished Christian faithful nationwide to remain prayerful, especially in the face of rising insecurity, and to stand firm against forces of evil threatening peace and unity. He encouraged believers not to succumb to fear or despair but to rise with courage against all forms of darkness.

Expressing deep concern over the recent killings in Jos, he called for unity among Christians and emphasized the power of collective prayers in confronting violence and restoring peace.
He prayed that this Easter season will usher in renewed tides of hope, bring joy and comfort to grieving hearts, and mark a turning point for Nigeria in overcoming insecurity and senseless loss of lives.
