A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Elder Adegboyega Mathew Abioye, has extended warm congratulations to the former First Lady of Oyo State, Chief Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, on her recent deployment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria.
In a statement he issued and made available to journalists today, coinciding with the global celebration of International Women’s Day, Hon. Abioye lauded the Ambassador for her distinguished service and her unwavering commitment to the advancement of women.
He described her new diplomatic role as a testament to her competence and a proud moment for the state.
”Your role in championing the cause of women has been exemplary,” Abioye stated.
“As you represent Nigeria in Austria, I urge you not to relent in your advocacy for women’s liberation and their rightful recognition within the political space.”
Hon. Abioye, who represented the Ogo Oluwa/Surulere State Constituency between 2007 and 2015, emphasized that Ambassador Ajimobi remains a beacon of hope for aspiring female leaders, noting that her leadership continues to break barriers across borders.
