The Ibadan South East Chairmanship hopeful, Hon. (Engr.) Sunday Babatunde has commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the donation of the newly inaugurated People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat to the party.
Hon. Babatunde described the gesture as epochal, noting that it represents a solid bedrock for the PDP’s victory ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a press statement released to newsmen through his Director of Strategic Media and Publicity, Kehinde Gbadeyanka, Hon. Babatunde stated that Governor Makinde, against all odds, has performed exceedingly well across virtually all sectors of governance while consistently sustaining and strengthening the PDP in Oyo State.
He expressed deep satisfaction with the establishment of the new PDP Secretariat, describing it as a clear demonstration of the party’s strength, stability, and continued relevance in Oyo State and Nigeria at large—despite pessimistic narratives from political adversaries and saboteurs.
Hon. Babatunde further commended Governor Makinde for his unwavering commitment to equity, justice, and internal party cohesion, emphasizing that the Governor has never allowed distractions or personal interests to override his determination to sustain and grow the PDP.
According to him, Governor Makinde has continually proven his integrity, credibility, and accountability to the people of Oyo State, PDP members across board, and Nigerians at large through his doggedness, resilience, and impeccable character.
He concluded by expressing confidence that, under Governor Makinde’s leadership and guidance, the People’s Democratic Party is well-positioned for victory in Oyo State and at the federal level in 2027.
