Olubadan’s Demise: Aare Iyalode Agbasaga of Ibadanland Mourns

The Aare Iyalode Agbasaga of Ibadanland,  Chief (Mrs) Bolanle Rasheedat

Hassan-Fasan, has extended her heartfelt condolences to the government, family, the people of Ibadanland,  friends, associates and well wishers over the demise of His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I, Olubadan of Ibadanland.

 

In a condolence message she signed and made available to journalists, Chief Hassan-Fasan said Olubadan’s passing just two days after his 90th birthday and five days away from his first coronation anniversary, is a huge and incalculable loss .

 

She said; Oba Olakulehin  will forever be remembered for his wisdom, diplomacy, and deep commitment to the cultural heritage of Ibadanland.

 

His leadership brought joy, peace, and prosperity to our land, and his selfless service will always be cherished.

 

As a monarch, he worked tirelessly for the growth and advancement of Ibadanland. His impactful contributions will be felt by generations unborn.

 

I pray the Almighty God grants the entire family, the people of Ibadanland, and all friends and well-wishers the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may his legacies continue to inspire us to build a brighter future for Ibadanland.

 

As we mourn the loss of our beloved monarch, we take solace in the fact that he lived a remarkable life. Aare Iyalode Agbasaga concluded.

 

 

 

Hassan-Fasan congratulates Olubadan-elect

 

Aare Iyalode Agbasaga of Ibadanland, Chief (Mrs) Bolanle Rasheedat Hassan-Fasan, has sent congratulatory messages to Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, who becomes the 44th Olubadan-elect,  following the demise of  Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin.

 

In the message personally signed by Chief Hassan-Fasan, and made available to newsmen on Monday, she noted that Oba Ladoja’s rich pedigree, glorious attributes and esteemed personality, with which he bestrode the political and traditional landscapes of Oyo State as a collosus, stood him in good stead to occupy the revered throne.

 

Describing Oba Ladoja as a worthy royalty, the cultural ambassador averred that his personification of uncommon vision, service,

sacrifice, selflessness, courage and moral rectitude

will usher Ibadanland into an epoch-making era of transformational events and developments that will consolidate its position as the  pacesetter.

 

“As a true daughter of Ibadanland, I am highly elated to witness this historical moment of your ascension to the throne of your forebears.

 

“I pray that Almighty God grant you unparalleled wisdom and a long, peaceful and glorious reign,” she added.
