The Aspirant for Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan South East Constituency I, Hon. Alatishe Dolapo Ganiyu, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithfuls in Ibadan South East, Oyo State and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In his Sallah message made available to newsmen, Hon. Alatishe described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred season of sacrifice, obedience, love, peace and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, urging Muslims to continue to uphold the teachings and virtues associated with the holy celebration.
He noted that the period should serve as a reminder to all Nigerians on the need for unity, compassion and collective responsibility towards nation building, especially at a time the country is facing economic hardship and security challenges.
According to him, “Eid-el-Kabir is beyond celebration; it is a season that teaches us sacrifice, tolerance, kindness and unwavering faith in God. As we celebrate with our loved ones, we must also remember the less privileged, extend hands of support to one another and continue to promote peaceful coexistence in our communities.”
Hon. Alatishe further charged Nigerians, irrespective of religion, tribe or political affiliation, to use the solemn occasion to fervently pray for the peace, stability and security of the nation.
He expressed concern over the increasing cases of insecurity across different parts of the country, including banditry, kidnapping and killings, stressing that only sincere prayers, unity and responsible leadership can restore lasting peace to Nigeria.
“We must continue to pray for our dear nation. The insecurity situation in the country is becoming alarming and this calls for collective concern from every citizen. I urge Nigerians to seek divine intervention for our leaders, security agencies and the nation at large so that peace and safety can return to our land,” he stated.
The Ibadan South East Constituency I hopeful also encouraged political leaders at all levels to prioritize the welfare and security of the people, while calling on citizens not to lose hope in the future of Nigeria.
Hon. Alatishe prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the sacrifices and supplications of Muslim faithfuls during the Eid celebration and grants every family peace, happiness, progress and abundant blessings.
He wished all Muslims a joyful and fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Eid Mubarak!
