The Lawmaker representing the Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency, Oyo, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye Wasiu has congratulated the new executive members that emerged during the last ward and Local Government congresses conducted in Akinyele and Lagelu Local Government areas.
In a congratulatory statement personally made by the Lawmaker but made available to journalists through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Oyedapo Oyewole, he commended leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for conducting a peaceful and hitch-free ward and local government congresses across the state.
He stressed that the peaceful conduct of the ward and Local Government congresses has no doubt reflected the preparedness of the party to go to the upcoming election with one voice and strengthen its structure at the grassroots level.
The federal lawmaker congratulated the new members of the executive in Lagelu local government led by the Chairman, Mr Fatai Awoyoola (Alaayan) and Pastor Femi Adigun Chairman Akinyele local government respectively, urging them to see their emergence as a call to serve and work towards reuniting the party in their respective local governments.
Hon. Lafi who is the Chairman House Committee on Nigeria/Mexico Parliamentary Friendship expressed confidence in the abilities of the new executives in both local governments to lead the party towards unprecedented growth and electoral victories in the 2027 general elections.
He, however called on members of the party in both Akinyele and Lagelu Local Government areas to cooperate and support the new leadership for the overall progress of the party as the 2027 elections approach.
