The Ibadan South East Chairmanship hopeful and Immediate Past Executive Secretary of the Council, Hon. Sunday Babatunde, has joined the good people of Oyo State in felicitating Muslim and Christian faithful on the sacred observances of Ramadan and Lent, which coincide this year.

In a statement released through his Director of Strategic Media and Publicity, Kehinde Gbadeyanka, Hon. Babatunde described the simultaneous observance of Ramadan and Lent as a powerful symbol of unity and peaceful coexistence among religious communities in Nigeria.

He noted that the convergence reflects the divine will of Almighty God and serves as a reminder that faith should unite rather than divide the people.

According to him, religion must continually serve as a tool for harmony, love, and collective progress, irrespective of creed, language, or ethnicity.

He emphasized that this sacred period presents a renewed opportunity for Nigerians to jointly reject extremism and promote national cohesion.

Hon. Babatunde expressed gratitude to God for granting Muslims and Christians the grace to witness another season of spiritual devotion. He urged the faithful to use this period to shape society positively, preach love, and extend kindness to one another.

He further advised that Nigerians should not only abstain from sin during Ramadan and Lent alone but should embrace total transformation that guarantees rewards both here on earth and in the hereafter.

He prayed that Almighty God grants all who are observing the fast good health, sound mind, and abundant blessings throughout the holy season.
