“Eni tí ó dúró pẹ̀lú ẹgbẹ́, yóò dúró fún àwọn ènìyàn.”
Beyond his outstanding public and philanthropic service to humanity, Hon. Sunday Anthony Babatunde has consistently demonstrated exemplary conduct and loyalty within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Over the years, he has firmly abided by party decisions concerning his aspirations, placing party unity and stability above personal ambition.

Hon. Babatunde’s political aspirations have never been driven by personal or material gain. Rather, they are rooted in his genuine desire to serve the people and contribute meaningfully to grassroots development. His dedication and loyalty to the PDP remain unwavering, and he has sustained cordial and productive relationships with party leaders and holders of political office across the board.
He has aspired on several occasions with the sincere hope of representing the good people of his constituency to promote inclusive governance and people-centred development. Unfortunately, he was denied these opportunities through political gimmicks and internal intrigues. Yet, at no time did these setbacks dampen his spirit of service or diminish his commitment to the party.

Notably, Hon. Babatunde has never withdrawn his support for candidates who emerged through internal party democracy. His aspirations have never altered his attitude toward his constituents or party members. He has remained steadfast, altruistic, and committed to the service of humanity with all his strength.
Hon. Sunday Babatunde is not just a party man; he is a loyal and financial member who has faithfully paid his dues. He has never counted his sacrifices as losses, nor has he ever sabotaged his party. Instead, he has consistently mobilized votes, strengthened party structures, and confronted political adversities head-on in defence of the PDP.

The true essence of leadership and political aspiration is service to the people—whether through election or appointment. There is no doubt that Hon. Sunday Babatunde deserves the opportunity to serve the people of Ibadan South East Local Government as Executive Chairman come 2027. Even to the most critical minds, it is evident that he merits the mantle of leadership in the council.
On his mandate, we shall stand.
On his candidature, we shall strive.
