The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has congratulated Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on the victory recorded by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the by election conducted yesterday in Ibadan North federal constituency.
Ambassador Arapaja equally congratulated the House of Representatives member elect, Hon. Folajinmi Oyekunle(DON).
This was contained in the congratulatory statement issued by Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim on Sunday.
Arapaja who described the margin between the PDP candidate and the runner up, APC as overwhelmingly, noted that, the landslide victory recorded by the PDP has further confirmed the impending defeat that awaits the APC and other opposition parties in the 2027 general elections.
Arapaja appreciated the people in the Ibadan North federal constituency for reciprocating Governor Makinde’s tireless commitment to the people of Oyo State, especially in the area of infrastructural development, education, workers’ welfare and human capital development.
While reiterating the commitment of Governor Seyi Makinde led administration to make life meaningful for the people, Ambassador Arapaja enjoined the citizens to continue to support the PDP as the only party capable of delivering good governance at all levels.
